Our Story
Chapter One
Our Beginning
House of Papayo is born from a reverence for wandering threads and rooted hands. Inspired by the poetry of traditional textiles, the house brings the ancient art of Shibori into a contemporary, mindful wardrobe.
est. in reverence, not in haste
Chapter Two — The Atelier
In the villages of Rajasthan & Gujarat, cloth is still given time.
Chapter Three
Craftsmanship
Each piece is patiently folded, bound, dyed and detailed by hand. Nothing is hurried; everything is intended. Natural dyes, intricate embroidery and thoughtful finishing transform every garment into a living canvas — carrying the imprint of human touch and heritage.
Chapter Four
Modern Indian femininity
Fluid silhouettes, earthy palettes, patterns that exist only once. Clothing that feels effortless yet meaningful — designed for the woman who carries heritage lightly, and wears it daily.
Chapter Five — The Boutique Experience
Some garments are chosen. Ours are met.
A private appointment at the boutique is unhurried by design — fabric in hand, tea poured, a fitting measured in conversation rather than minutes.
We do not sell garments.
We create modern Indian heirlooms.
